The best part of brunch was the 10 second sketch. For all the allure of unlimited Brunch drinks of Cameo (formerly the Lovin Cup), the meal was sub-par at best and the drinks were of equal caliber.

Probably one of the most famous restaurants in North Brooklyn, 5Leaves sits on the border of Greenpoint and Williamsburg, at the North West corner of Mc Carren park. I went simple and had a cheese burger (of course) and it was up to the usual standard – Good bordering Great. One day I’ll adventure to try something else there! LOL

Continuing my Mussel tour of NY – I had this lot at Station in Williamsburg, BK (Bedford L stop). Not the most scrumptious but they had a good taste and were a good size. The best part was the toast squares in this lot.

Of course when I visit my parents in rural Pennsylvania I have to stop off at a diner. One of my favorite past times is having burgers at diners, as i’m sure everyone is well aware… However second best is late-night diner cake!

Continuing my mussel tour of NYC with Alba this time we sat down at a place with a tropical parrot at the next table… Machiavelli on 85th and Columbus on the Upper West Sitde. Decent taste and broth, but HUGE mussels!

Of course the first two drinks I order they are out of the ingredients so after my first drink (option 3) the bartender feels bad and makes me a a handmade version of the cucumber martini that I wanted. It was so fresh and great!
