It’s photographers like this that just keep me going through the week. It is just nice to know there is someone that can show personality and style. Now I fell i can ignore some of the rambling nothings I run into.

AW 09 – FOG
The leaves fall. We fall like them. The leaves fall because God
wills it, but we fall because the English will it.
In the coming spring, nobody will remember the dead leaves
any more than the dead soldiers.
Life will pass on over our graves…
The second instalment of the Desert and Fog Collection is the autumn/winter component entitled ‘Fog’. The Fog instalment is the downpour of rain after the drought of apocalypse that was the summer ‘Desert’ component. It was heavily influenced by German military traditions and regalia and the Luc Besson film, ‘Le Dernier Combat’. A strong ‘end of the world’ doom’s day feeling threads through the collection from the military regime-styled D-coats to the cloudy London Fog Square Scarves to the range of poison necklaces to be worn at all times in case of emergency.

Alidra Alic’s dreamily surrealist “Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland” collection gives a stunning glimpse into the jewelry designer’s looking-glass aesthetic. Inspired by the decorative floral motifs that emerged from the romantic period of the 1800s, the mostly resin and plastic-based creations exude a wondrous, logic-defying sensibility.
