So this year the first snow came before Halloween. At least it was nice fluffy white snow! ^_^

A collection of ideas, experiments, and observations that don’t fit neatly into a defined category… maybe i’ll sort them one day.

This Idea Cloud happened to take a little longer to post. I had a very stressful week both at home and at work (both work related) and now i’m just catching up and getting ready for Halloween Weekend! These little bits of sketches are filled with loads of strange stuff seeing as it took me until Monday the 24th to fill in all the blocks.

Missed out on “Idea Cloud” this weekend to be at home for some work. However I will not miss out on the photo posts

Now I have lived on a “farm” all my life… We never had animals or crops (other then a garden out back). However we have been repairing/restoring/updating the 4.5 acres most of my life.
This time around @DKminc (David) came to help out. We cleared out some old things from the barn and set up some scaffolding to get ready for a new roof to be built.
A little physical labor does you good ^_^

CPT by Cockpit USA – Winter 2011 Collection
Military inspired sportswear line of Cockpit USA = CPT (civilian pilot training)
Fall/Winter collection features chunky knitwear and military inspired outerwear.
“We’ve thrown out our battered boat shoes, packed away our shorts and bid a final farewell to the balmy climes of summer. However, fear not for we are not forlorn in the slightest but instead very excited to present a preview of this season’s dapper new collection. Staying ever faithful to Cockpit USA’s signature style of heritage imbued clothing, this season’s line consists of perennial wardrobe staples such as the black leather racer with knitted collar, the Vintage G1 jacket, a WWII waxed cotton navy deck jacket boasting aluminium fireman clasps and a classic, fitted field jacket. Sheepskin, coyote trims and waxed finishes permeate the autumnal hued collection for an understated, yet edgy aesthetic. The WWII Hybrid Coat is innovatively brought up to date in olive wool with contrasting hazel brown leather accents while the asymmetrical lines of the navy Oarsmen Coat and grandly built Upper Bridge Coat with leather strap features epitomise the entire collection’s slant of putting contemporary twists on classic favorites.” – Cockpit USA

Ok with this post i’ve caught up from my missed post last week. I know these sketches aren’t exactly quality but they are just a nice distraction from sitting in the apartment and staring at all of my web design work. It’s the equivalent to free writing. Another benefit I found is that while I work on these random thoughts that pop into my head my mind suddenly reaches a solution to a project I was working on earlier! Overall a productive weekend.

So last weekend I missed a week of my brainless sketching because I was helping out back at my parents house with some prep work for the new room that is going to be constructed. I’m hoping to do one more this weekend to catchup and be semi-consistant. I actually mixed up my “routine” today and went to the outside, weekend, flea market to get a plumb and eggplant sandwich. Then I took it to get my coffee and finished them both while I finished this cloud.
Just testing out the new lens on my Hiptamatic iPhone app … LOL – thats the ceiling light in my bedroom
