An Artist kitchen

Fashion Week might very well be coming to an end but the fun and furry lives on!! Yesterday the lovely and adorable Meagan and Zach from the BODHI Art & Web Department made a splash at the JOOR event inside the Mercedes Benz tents at Lincoln Center. Oh and rumor has it that Miss Meagan’s BODHI Signature Safety Clutch was quite a hit; photographed by WWD…enough said.

Again back to my triangle theme

Pikachu by Rihards Donskis
Rihards aka apofiss does amazing arts of cats and classic vidya gaem characters, but his depictions of Pikachu are especially electrifying. Get it… because Pikachu is, ah forget it. I think he hold the distinguished title of being the only artist on earth to draw Pikachu all drunky.

First carved in 1890 by Vasily Zvyozdochkin, the Matryoshka is a traditional Russian folk doll comprised of a series of nesting figurines, each one smaller and different from the last. With a pattern of embracing heritage and historical quirks as inspirations for their collections, it’s no surprise that Maison Martin Margiela decided to give the Matryoshka its own twist for the Fall/Winter 2011 season. Decidedly more utilitarian and inherently French in design, the Margiela set consists of highly-stylized, white lacquered wood stacking figures. A surefire addition to any contemporary home, the high-design dolls are available now for $170 USD over at ALOHARAG.

This is the last of my found works form High School – Drawing of a real human skull
This poor girl was a skeleton that was donated to Daniel Boon Area High School. She’s been drawn for the past 5-10 years and has been roughed up a bit. My class called her “skully” … original right … Her story is pretty interesting and unknown at the same time. I was told she was at one point a haunted house decoration and was painted with glow in the dark paint. The last owner before the HS was a young kid that used her as a science fair diorama where she was painted an iridescent of- white. Karen Shriner (art teacher) procured her and painted her back to a human bone-white and gave her a more suitable job as a figure drawing model.
