What counts is not the size of the dog in the fight, but the size of the fight in the dog!“

This is just a quick photoshoot we did of Honey today at work

RE:(sleeplessnyc):

First photo shoot of the season and our model was definitely top dog. Harhar… kill me.

Shave Soap Saver

Shave Soap Saver

While a liquid soap dispenser is very convenient, a good old solid bar of soap is a much ‘greener’ option, as it’s more concentrated and doesn’t require a plastic bottle. But squishy, wet soap bars next to the basin are a pain, and they harbour bacteria too. So, what to do? Young designer Nathalie Stämpfli has come up with a very satisfactory solution with her Soap Flakes soap holder. It takes an ordinary bar of soap, and shaves off tiny soap flakes every time you want to wash your hands.

MARS Turbine

MARS Turbine

This is why I can still believe in the future.

Wind energy in itself isn’t a novel concept, but the MARS Turbine (Maggen Air Rotor System) puts a new spin on conventional wind turbines with its Goodyear Blimp otherworldliness and innovative operating system.

Designer Fred Ferguson created MARS as an energy source in remote areas—like scientific expeditions to the Arctic—that need consistent power but lack resources to build a 200-foot tall wind turbine. Essentially a blimp covered in fins, Ferguson’s turbine flies 1,000 feet high, connecting to the ground with a tether that doubles as an energy conductor.

Henry

Henry

Waterworks’ latest range of bath and kitchen fittings, “Henry,” lends a polished look to early 20th-century utilitarian inspiration. Referencing the drawing boards of Walter Gropius, Eero Saarinen and Constantin Brancusi, the streamlined curves of the spouts and handles look distinctly modern, while the sturdy handles and hexagonal nuts harken back to the machine age.
