Today I received a letter from @Versace inviting those in the neighborhood to visit the new Versace Runway shop in SOHO & receive a gift… every now and then you miss a store opening in NYC… or even walk by it the weekend before and still miss it… but given the change at redemption; take it!
What resulted was one of Donatella’s “favorite things” – Round hard candies with the Medusa head raised on them… and myself finding a new pair of woven loafers!
Sweet to say the leaset!
A little on the store: Opened in October 2012. Its the first boutique store for Versace in NYC and has hand-laid imported mosaic floor is modeled after Roman Basilicas built in 800 A.D.

As Williamsburg starts bringing in more menswear stores, as slow as ever, there are some highlights. Case and point H.W. Carter & Sons – 127 North 6th in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.
A quick stop between Dinner at the Wythe Hotel and then to see Goro Miyazaki’s film “From up on poppy hill” (Kokurikozaka Kara) at Williamsburg cinemas I happend upon these great shades from Mosley Tribes. Overall a great weekend – plus I took my new shades out for a spin around SOHO today!

Making his major exhibition debut in London, New York-based tattoo artist Scott Campbell recently opened his latest exhibition, entitled “Always Almost There”, at the Lazarides Gallery. The show featured Campbell’s signature style in the form of laser etching on multi-layered creations. “Always Almost There” runs through October 30th, 2009.
